Residential Project:
Demolition Plan

For this assignment, I recreated a provided floor plan in ¼” scale utilizing correct line weights. My clients wish to remodel their one- bedroom apartment. They want to open up the small kitchen to the living area to create
a more open-plan environment. Existing appliances will be reused but the cabinetry will be replaced. In
addition, they want the study to become a second bedroom with a closet. All doors will be replaced. All
windows will be replaced with windows the same size currently used. All demolition is shown with a dashed line. I placed the demo plan on a 11"x17" plan sheet. I made sure to include an N arrow and add dimensions of the demolition. I drew this at a 1/4" scale on a sheet of vellum.

HAND-DRAFTING
INTERIOR HAND RENDERING
For this project I was given a floor plan, provided by my professor in order to produce two color schemes. The color schemes needed to be analogous and complementary. I had the choice to render in photoshop or by hand. I chose to introduce myself to hand rendering since this was my first time. I then organized my floor plans, finishings and furniture in photoshop to create a presentation.

KITCHEN
ELEVATION

Source:
Design Milk
In using correct line weights I had to create an elevation based on a kitchen layout in 1/2" scale. I had the decision to select any style of cabinetry and equipment from any source (shown up top). The dimensions I was given were 4' by 10', refrigerator 36" wide and ceiling height 9'-0"

STAIR SECTION
For this assignment, I was to recreate a stair section, including all the labels. I needed recreate the provided section at ½” scale. All labels needed to be 1/8” high letters. I was to title the drawing, using ¼” letters, STAIR SECTION A-A and place below the image. Also include, below the title, SCALE: ½” = 1’-0”. I used three leads to create depth. I recreated this drawing on a sheet of vellum.
